Who we are

This website (cedarpointcpa.ca) is operated by Cedar Point CPA, a Chartered Professional Accountant practice based on Quadra Island, BC. Rachel Nowazek, CPA, is the data steward for any personal information collected through this site and can be reached at cedarpointcpa@outlook.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you actively send us through the contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), and the message you write. We do not run any analytics on this website — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no third-party behavioural tracking, and no marketing cookies. The site does not set any cookies of its own.

Where your form submission goes

When you submit the contact form, the data is delivered through our form handler at portal.cedarpointcpa.ca, which is operated by Kvick (the firm that built this site). The handler:

• Stores the submission — your name, email, phone, message, the page you submitted from, and the IP address of the request — in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted in Canada / the United States. The IP is captured strictly for spam and abuse triage; it is not used for advertising or profiling.
• Forwards the message by email to Rachel at Cedar Point CPA. We use Resend (a US-based transactional email provider) as the email delivery service. Resend handles the email only as a courier; they do not retain or use the contents beyond delivery.

Cloudflare also operates the network edge that serves this website. Like any web host, Cloudflare's edge logs basic request information (IP, request path, timestamp) for security and abuse handling. Those logs are not used for profiling.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and the resulting email correspondence are kept for as long as is reasonable for the inquiry to be handled and, where you become a client, for the engagement record-keeping period required by CPA BC and CRA. You can ask for any of it to be deleted at any time.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party, except as required to provide accounting services you’ve engaged us for, or as required by law. The data processors named above (Cloudflare for hosting and storage; Resend for email delivery) are bound by their own data-handling commitments and act only on our behalf.

CASL (anti-spam)

We only send email replies to messages you initiate. We do not add you to any marketing list.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA (federal) and BC’s Personal Information Protection Act, you can ask to see, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. Email cedarpointcpa@outlook.com or call (250) 201-6137.
